The Supported Housing Program provides stable, permanent, aflordable housing for mental health consumers.
Summary: 

COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES serves individuals with serious mental illness and, frequently,
co-occurring chemical dependency. We create partnerships in which all individuals are treated with
respect and dignity. The Supported Housing Program provides stable, permanent, aflordable housing
for mental health consumers. We currently house over I 15 residents in duplexes, apartments, and 3 to
S-bedroom homes. A Housing Coordinator and peer support counselors assist residents in maintaining
housing stability and in connecting to the community.

The Independent Living Program (ILP) assists current and former foster youth aged 15-21 to develop
independent living skills and achieve educational/vocational goals to successtully transition to self-
sufficiency. ILSP Coordinators provide counseling, support, and empowerment to youth in accessing
resources and learning new skills.

Eligibility: 

Adults must have a psychiatric diagnosis and be referred by County Mental Health. River Street Shelter
serves some homeless individuals not ref'erred by County Mental Health on a first-come, first-served
basis. The THPP/ISP Program serves former youth and former foster youth referred by County
Human Services Division.
