Salvation Army Monterey Peninsula Corps

Brief Description:
Transitional Housing
Summary:

The Salvation Army provides two housing programs on the Monterey Peninsula for homeless families. The goal is to help families transition into permanent housing and self-sufficiency. There is one location for a 90 day program and another for a 24 month program. Both programs seek to offer a safe environment for families transitioning from homelessness in hopes of gaining a more stable life. This is done by providing case management and help in learning necessary skills for independent living such as financial management, credit repair, parenting and job skills.
